The Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FlaSEIA) will host the Florida Solar and Storage Summit this May 2-3 at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota. The summit is an annual gathering of industry leaders working to make Florida a top market for solar and storage. The summit addresses challenging topics, offers practical training and business advice and provides crucial updates on the legislative and regulatory climate in the Florida solar and storage industry.
This year’s keynotes are former Navy SEAL Steve Rutherford and Heather Reams with Citizens for Responsible Energy.
Session topics include microgrids, Florida insurance issues, financing, local and state policy and regulations, homeowner association approvals, VPPs, lessons learned from Hurricane Ian, resiliency, IRA and California vs. Florida NEM.
More than 25 manufacturers and distributors will have booths on the exhibit hall floor. There will also be a cornhole tournament, Solar & Storage 20 under 40 Awards, a Women in Solar program lunch, FlaSEIA Hall of Fame induction, a sunset cruise on Sarasota Bay and more workshops and education courses.
