Smart-power company Enteligent has just unveiled a DC-to-DC bidirectional EV charger. The charger can use DC power directly from existing solar panels or from the AC grid, while also supporting V2X functionality.
“Rapid growth in EV ownership and usage and the resulting demand for energy are putting increased pressure on an already stretched electricity grid,” said Sean Burke, founder, and CEO of Enteligent. “This first-of-its-kind technology will benefit consumers by enabling them to shift from night-time charging, which is dependent on the fossil-fuel powered grid, to clean, solar-based, daytime charging.”
The 15-kW charger will be available in both residential and commercial versions. The chargers will be available for purchase in Q3 2023.
No further information is yet available on Enteligent’s status on UL testing.
